Little Lumpy Cycle Sportive

Supported by Cycleworks, Haslewey & Age Concern, the Little Lumpy Cycle Sportive is back to enjoy Haslemere’s “Little Switzerland” countryside!  Over 500 entrants sign up to cycle down the back roads of Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire and race to the base of the South Downs - and this year, there is the addition of two arduous but exciting climbs at the end of The Epic and The Challenge (taxi anyone?).  Already popular in Europe, tportives are one of the fastest growing areas in UK for both the enthusiastic amateur and weekend rider and The Little Lumpy has plenty to entertain and amuse non riding partners and friends too!

o   Challenge – 65 miles and 3,840 ft. £15 in advance (£22)

o   Fun – 38 miles and 1,970 ft. £5 in advance (£10) Under 16s free; but must be accompanied      by a fee paying adult

Cycle Road Race

Only open to those with a valid Racing Licence, The Haslemere Festival is hosting a Surrey League Cycle road race that starts and finishes in the charming village of Grayswood.  Exhilarating for the competitors and exciting for spectators, the road race also includes a team from our twin town – Bernay – who had a smash hit debut in the Haslemere Town Centre Cycle Race in 2009!  Bon chance mes amis!
