Bell Ringers Open Day at St Bartholomew’s Church. The bell ringers welcome you to their bell tower for a demonstration, a chance to try your hand on a model bell and to see how good you really are on a simulator! Followed by a cream tea. Tickets £4 on the door

Wed 20th 7.30 Pat Chapmans’ Indian Curry Evening The Curry Club's Dominique and Pat Chapman return with their entertaining and very popular Festival Curry Night. Watch an all-new curry cooking demonstration and slide show then enjoy a tasty curry dinner. Menu includes popadoms & chutneys, starter and eat-as-much-as-you-like main course. Refreshments available from the Georgian's cash bar. Tables of 12 - singles, couples, groups or book a full table. All welcome including your older children. At Georgian House Hotel. Victorian Haslemere Throughout the day the shops will be decorated and you may be served by Victorian street sellers! A Victorian street scene will be re-enacted on Chestnut Avenue (beside Haslemere Hall) with stalls and attractions from the period. Free

Tennyson Peal of Bells As a celebration of Tennyson's bi-centenary, a peal will be rung on the bells of St Bartholomew’s Church Haslemere. There are 10 bells in the tower and two of them contain quotations from Tennyson’s In Memoriam; ‘Ring out the darkness of the land’ and ‘Ring in the Christ that is to be’. The ringing will last for about 40 minutes and ringers will be drawn from Guildford Diocese

Free Community Printmaking Workshop  Andrew Morrison is a professional printmaker and book artist and throughout 2009 he will be working with the residents of Haslemere to produce artwork for the town as part of the Creative Communities project. Come and meet Andrew and have a go at simple print methods such as using cut stencils, rollers and hand pressure to explore drawings and ways of making marks.
