Promoted by Opera South in the belief that music and singing should form part of the curriculum to lay the foundations for enjoyment in adult life. Live Indie Bands Some of the hottest acts on the independent music scene come to Haslemere. WinterKids ‘an infectious romp through new wave pop’;  Andy Stedman with his band playing tracks from his excellent debut album Causin’ Havoc, Breakin’ Hearts; Arthur three boys and two girls who play spiky, sophisticated indierock. The Gruffalo was published 10 years ago, so come and meet the purple-prickled monster plus other characters from Julia's books and songs. After the event, Julia will be signing copies of her books, including her latest best-sellers Stick Man and Tyrannosaurus Drip and her recently published teenage novel, Running on the Cracks.
